Ceremony Broadcasts and Recordings
- Recordings of each ceremony will be posted for viewing on our Spring 2024 Ceremony Broadcasts page when available.
All June 2024 ceremonies will be held at the Slush Puppie Place (formerly Leon's Centre).
Graduates:
- Please arrive 2 hours prior to the ceremony start time (for ceremonies that begin at 10 am, arrive by 8 am. For 3 pm ceremonies, arrive by 1 pm)
- There will be lots of standing – we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes!
- Bring photo ID, but leave other personal items at home or with a family member
- Hood and Gown Rentals: Online preorders can be placed via the Gaspard/AMS 'Build A Grad' portal (). Same-day ordering will be available..
Guests:
- The deadline for graduates to reserve guest tickets (up to 3 per attending graduate) is May 26
- Those who did not reserve guest tickets can email graduand@queensu.ca for assistance
- Doors open 90 minutes before ceremony time
- There is no assigned seating
- Graduate procession is scheduled to start 25 minutes before ceremony start time
- Ceremonies are expected to be approximately 2 hours
Bags and Belongings:

There is no guest coat check. Please minimize bags/belongings.

Bags will be subject to a cursory visual check to ensure prohibited items are not brought into the building. Prohibited items include:

Park on Campus and Ride a Kingston Transit (KT) Bus Downtown – Free!
- Avoid traffic! Come to campus and park for free in or dedicated convocation lots
- Hop on a city bus at and head downtown for free!
- Please confirm with the driver that you are going to Slush Puppie Place for convocation
- Hop off at any regular downtown bus stop and walk to Slush Puppie Place

Degree, Diploma, and Certificate Pickup
Parchments for Spring 2024 graduates will be available for pick up after the ceremony when you return your regalia. Photo identification is required.
On-Site Photos
At Slush Puppie Place, after your ceremony, you can return your rental gown and hood right away, or you can meet your family and friends and take photos before returning your gown and hood.
- Gowns and hoods must then be returned at the King St. entrance.
