Students

As members of the local community, Queen’s University students have a collaborative relationship with the United Way of KFL&A.

Many students volunteer directly with United Way agencies, supporting those in need in our community.

Students participate in periodic donation drives, contributing food and clothing to support the vulnerable.

United Way created a new program to support students who may need a little assistance at different times of the year.  For more information on how to access Student Food Boxes, please contact  foodbank@ams.queensu.ca.

United Way works closely with local agencies to provide counselling to youth in the community, in addition to the services offered on campus.  For more information on how to access counselling or any other services please call 211. is a free, confidential 24/7 service where callers are connected with a person real time.

If you are a student who wishes to get involved with the United Way, please contact:

Getting involved doesn't just start and end within our campus boundaries - it extends to the greater Kingston community as well. The partnership between Queen's and United Way is a prime example of how students are giving back to the town that we now call home. And the impact of the campaign goes both ways, creating opportunities for students to learn by expanding their experiences outside of the classroom. Student's dedication to raising funds and awareness around complex social issues are some aspects I love most about the Queen's way of life!
