¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Risk and Safety Services has partnered with to provide QUAlerts emergency messaging for our community.
QUAlerts is a service that allows ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ to quickly send important messages via email, SMS text and text-to-voice, and the SeQure app.
Messages may include any of the emergency situations noted on the Emergency Response Procedures webpage.
The QUAlerts system complements other existing university communications channels for urgent alerts, such as:
- the main ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ website,
- Emergency Notification System (ENS) on-campus,
- SeQure app,
- social media (, and ).

Email messages to personal NetIDs
All Students Staff and Faculty will automatically receive important messages to their ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ NetID email address.
Opt-in to other message platforms
SMS or text-to-voice
Students and employees may opt-in to also receive important messages to a personal phone number (SMS or text-to-voice), or a personal email address.
Smartphone app
Alertable also has an app. It is not necessary to have the app to receive email alerts from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, but you can expand your alerts preferences by including other locations through the app. For example, you can sign up to receive alerts from national weather services and from federal, provincial, and municipal governments.
