Justin Heenan is a proud graduate from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ with a degree in French and Spanish (BAH '15). He is a full time Teacher in the Durham District School Board.Justin Heenan Justin also works as a Mental Health Counsellor in Private Practice and has developed the Justin Heenan Counselling Centre in Whitby, Ontario. This year he will start as a Part Time Course instructor at Trent University's School of Education. Justin is a consistent volunteer in the Special Olympics and the Durham Down Syndrome Association. He has written a Guide for Special Olympics Basketball Coaches, Organized Virtual Sports Festivals for Special Olympics Athletes and started a Special Olympics Walking Club at Bolton C. Falby PS in Ajax, Ontario. He also holds a Bachelor of Education from Trent University and an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. 

Justin started volunteering with Special Olympics when he was a ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ student. His dedication and engagement was rewarded this year, when he received the 2021 Educator of the Year Award.
