Queen’s Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) has carefully reviewed its academic program offerings through Arts and Science Online (ASO) and, regrettably, has decided to no longer accept new admissions to its fully online degree and certificate programs, as of January 2024.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCE IN FRENCH LANGUAGE
NOTE:

Students in a FREN degree plan are not eligible for the Certificate of Competence.

Certain degree plans from LLCU may not be eligible for the certificate if FREN courses have been used to fill plan requirements at the 200-300 level.

On Campus Certificate -
Intermediate / Advanced
Consists of 24.0 units as described below.
The successful completion of this certificate will be noted as an ACADEMIC MILESTONE on the transcript (as it is not a Senate-approved Certificate Program).
CORE: complete all 15.0 units below |

|
Additional FREN 300-level courses are also options if you have taken FREN 230 & 231. |

NOTE: No more than 9.0 transferred units can be counted towards the certificate. |

Consists of 18.0 units as described below.
The successful completion of this certificate will be noted as an ACADEMIC MILESTONE on the transcript (as it is not a Senate-approved Certificate Program).
CORE: complete all 12.0 units below |
OPTION: complete 6.0 units from below |

Please submit your application by March 31st of your final year.
Certificates will be finalized in early May once final grades have been posted.
