Biography

I am a PhD student in the Department of English at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, where I recently completed my thesis-based MA. Previously, I completed my BA Honours in History and Law at Carleton University. My thesis research explored the feminization of literacy and the depiction of the "unreasonable" mind in Victorian novels from 1850-1870. I am interested in how the rise of literacy influences cultural identity formation and has shaped the contemporary novel.
