The Castle loves to hear from Queen’s and BISC alumni. We are in regular contact with the London branch of the Queen’s Alumni Association, some of whom spent time studying for their undergraduate degrees at the BISC. A panel of London-based Queen’s and Castle alumni including, Scott Girvin, Naaz Adatia Hirst, Edwina Acheson, Heather Christie and Chris Henry visited the Castle in March and gave brief presentations on their careers to date. While they sat and reminisced in the Headless Drummer with our current students, they shared some of the tips for success that they have learned throughout their careers.
Queen’s alumni who visit the Castle in this way are presented with a BISC scarf. A must-have fashion item for any self-respecting fan of the Castle, there is so much excitement among the current students when they receive their scarves, that the first mixer for every new intake has begun to be referred to as, The Scarfing Ceremony. Every new student at the Castle receives a BISC scarf to keep as a memento of their time here and to wear with pride on main campus when they eventually leave us. We hope wherever you are, you still cherish yours too!
