Safeguarding Research
Last month, members of the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio attended the Research Securities in Today鈥檚 Geo-Political Era conference hosted by the University of Waterloo. Protecting research is a growing concern for academic institutions and conference sessions were built around understanding the geopolitical environment with respect to threats in research. Representatives from funding agencies and government officials were on hand to provide attendees with direction and guidance. Information garnered at this conference will enhance the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio鈥檚 ability to provide informative and timely support to researchers in their assessment and mitigation of research security risks.
