Research News
We encourage the research community to continue to check the VPR COVID-19 website for updates. Associate Deans of Research will also provide additional details and guidance on matters particular to your faculty, and they are your first point of contact for questions.
Earlier this year, the Government of Canada created a portal which you are encouraged to review. In addition, Research Legal Services is available to assist in assessing any concerns of the Queen’s Research Community and should be contacted before undertaking formal partnership agreements. Updates and resources about safeguarding your research are available on the VPR Website.
The Resources for Research at Queen’s (R4R@Q) series hosted by the Vice-Principal (Research) portfolio is intended to help researchers learn more about the many services that can help them throughout the development of their research projects. On topics from project conception to knowledge mobilization and promotion, speakers from across the university will give presentations, take questions, and provide resources on how researchers can leverage their units’ services. More information about R4R@Q.
Partnerships and Innovation
Three Queen’s-connected companies have found success through Innovation Solutions Canada (ISC) projects. The ISC program identifies areas where the government is looking for novel solutions and provides funds to support Canadian innovators and entrepreneurs. The goal is to facilitate the early development of a technology while allowing for testing and validation of the prototype and assisting in the pathway to commercialization.
Queen’s Partnerships and Innovation (QPI) host a variety of workshops and webinars for entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs. View the list of events and find more information.
