The Student Experience Office’s Leadership Workshop Series is a set of workshops designed to broader participant’s perspectives on leadership, have them develop and practice key leadership skills, and provide opportunities for students to connect with like-minded peers in the Queen’s community. Student who attend four workshops will receive a certificate of completion.

Exploring Leadership What does leadership mean to you? How can individuals with different leadership styles work together to succeed? Conflict Resolution Learning to deal with conflict in a positive and constructive way is an important way to improve your well-being and relationships with your team. This workshop teaches you about conflict resolution and its usefulness in team settings. You will also participate in interactive scenarios to learn how to resolve conflicts effectively. Giving & Receiving Feedback Giving and receiving feedback means we can thoughtfully reflect on previous tasks and ways we can continue to improve. Although extremely important, there tends to be hesitation when it comes to feedback! Facilitation Skills Join our interactive workshop on facilitation skills and discover how to lead effective group discussions, foster collaboration, and navigate challenging conversations with confidence. Resources & Referrals Being aware of resources at Queen’s and knowing how to make an effective referral is an important part of supporting your teammates and friends. A Guide to Debriefing After completing a project or event, it’s always helpful to reflect and learn from your experience. What is debriefing, though? How is it beneficial? Why does it matter?
