Thank you for making the 13th edition of Science Rendezvous Kingston the biggest yet!
Over 5,300 Kingstononians participated in Canada's largest one-day pop-up Science Discovery Centre at the Leon’s Centre and on The Tragically Hip Way.
¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ the 2023 event:
This year's theme was CREATE and showcased how discoveries are made and new knowledge is constructed by scientists in labs, forests, space, underground, in hospitals, and remote stations.
The day was featured many of the special touches that have led to national awards in the past, such as STEM activities to do at home, swag bags and unique displays.

Proclamation 2023

Whereas Science Rendezvous is a one-day festival where people and science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics meet to celebrate Canada's research achievements; and
Whereas Science Rendezvous Kingston is where Kingstonians of all ages can gather to learn from and along with the local scientists from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, local museums, and community organizations; and
Whereas Science Rendezvous Kingston engages and inspires young Kingstonians and all citizens of this city to participate in discovery, experimentation, and exploration in all areas of science; and
Whereas Science Rendezvous Kingston, Canada's largest pop-up Science Discovery Centre in Canada is proud to bring our researchers and our community together to CREATE knowledge, connections, and fun.
Therefore, I, Mayor Bryan Paterson, on behalf of Kingston City Council, hereby proclaim May 13, 2023 to be "Science Rendezvous Kingston Day" in the City of Kingston in appreciation of the individuals in our community who are working so diligently, in formal laboratories or back gardens, as mentors and stewards to improve our lives.
