Jenn Lucas (she/her) is the Program Manager: Operations and Strategic Planning and an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of History.
As the Program Manager, Jenn is responsible for leading the department's strategic goals and initiatives. Ongoing projects include enhancing the undergraduate curriculum, developing sustainable internship programs, implementing study-abroad initiatives, and engaging with the community. Jenn coordinates revisions to the curriculum, builds partnerships with external organizations, supervises staff, and manages the departmental self-study for quality assurance. The Program Manager also plays a crucial role in student recruitment, event planning, and the development of promotional materials. With a focus on student engagement and experiential learning, Jenn contributes to the overall success of the Department of History.
Jenn is also the Course Instructor for HIST 212: Experiential Learning in Historical Practice. Jenn is dedicated to creating internship opportunities for history students to apply the various skills they develop in their history courses to community and industry-based projects. She integrates teaching students about transferable skills and the numerous career paths available to them into her course content.
