I have been teaching various history and civics courses at Debre Markos and Gondar Colleges of Education, and the University of Gondar before I moved to Queen’s for my PhD. I had also managerial experience as I headed my department, Department of History and Heritage Management, at the University of Gondar between November 2019 and April 2022. For my doctoral dissertation, I will be reconstructing a history of disability rights activism in Ethiopia during the last century, and I will be under the supervision of Professors Awet T. Weldemichael and Marc Eprecht.

Publications

Although I have participated in several national and international research conferences, seminars and summer schools and presented research papers over the years, I haven’t yet taken my works to publication. Part of my doctoral journey will, therefore, be publishing these and other works in reputable journals.
