Em is a first-year M.A. student working under the supervision of Dr. Steven Maynard. Their research interests include twentieth-century Canada, the history of gender, the history of sexuality, economic history and cultural history. Their proposed research will examine the contributions of capitalism and consumerism to the development of queer communities and identities in twentieth-century Canada.
