Varsity student-athletes raise over $25,000 for Canadian Cancer Society

The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Varsity Women's Soccer Team raised over $10,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The varsity season may have been cancelled but the spirit of giving continues with the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Gaels.

Led by the Varsity Leadership Council (VLC), Gaels varsity student-athletes won the post-secondary award from the Canadian Cancer Society honouring their achievement for raising the most amount of donations this year.

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ varsity student-athletes raised $25,175 through virtual and physically distanced events this year. The Men's Rugby team led the way raising over $12,980 followed closely by Women's Soccer raising $10,178. 

The funds that Gaels varsity student-athletes raised will be invested into breast cancer research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment and care through the Canadian Cancer Society.
