Throughout March, participating institutions will offer workshops, panel discussions, and interactive programming related to the SDGs.
Through research, teaching, learning, and community engagement, Queen’s is advancing climate action, inclusion, and equitable access to education and health care. As part of these ongoing efforts, the university is again participating in SDG Month Canada—a nationwide campaign rallying post-secondary institutions to drive awareness and action on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Throughout March, participating institutions will offer workshops, panel discussions, and interactive programming related to the SDGs. These activities will draw on the diverse disciplinary perspectives of our faculty and campus community members to further embed sustainable development into institutional practices, to foster more collaboration, and to celebrate Queen’s achievements related to the SDGs. The Principal’s Office is coordinating SDG Month Canada at Queen’s and is looking to highlight activities set to take place across Queen’s.
“Much of the work at ֱ is directly tied to SDGs, contributing to the university’s social impact and making a tangible difference in the lives of others,” says Principal Patrick Deane. “We are proud to take part in SDG Month Canada and continue raising awareness about these global goals, their importance, and how Queen’s is driving meaningful change alongside other post-secondary institutions in Canada.”
Led by , Colleges and Institutes Canada, and UBC’s Office of Sustainability, the SDG Month Canada campaign sets the stage for universities and colleges across the country to strengthen their engagement with the SDGs. Each participating school independently organizes its own activities to drive impact.
