The Queen’s community is remembering Catherine Mary Brewster, who passed away Jan. 25 in Kingston at the age of 67. Catherine grew up in Kingston and worked many different clerical positions in her career until landing at Queen’s University, where she worked for more than 20 years. Catherine’s colleagues say they will remember her infectious smile, her overwhelming laughter and quick wit, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. They also say she had a gift of making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

A private family service will be held at a later date in Sheenboro, Quebec. In memory of Catherine, donations to the KGH Oncology Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family.

The Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences will be coming together to honour Catherine’s memory on Feb. 21, and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ flag will be lowered on campus in memory of her that day as well. Please reach out to dbms@queensu.ca for further information.
