Queen’s launches second phase of Service Effectiveness Survey

Today, Queen’s issued the second phase of NousCubane’s UniForum Service Effectiveness Survey, one of several activities that will inform the Queen’s Renew Program— a multi-year university-wide initiative focused on ensuring Queen’s professional services are working effectively to support delivery of its academic mission. 

Participants completed phase one of the survey in February, which collected feedback on half of the 70 university-wide services included in NousCubane’s benchmarking program. The response rate was strong, with 47 per cent compared to the median rate of 30 per cent across comparator institutions within the UniForum program. 

The survey’s second phase focuses on the remaining services, offering participants an opportunity to provide feedback on three key aspects of service delivery: people, systems, and processes. This feedback will be integral in understanding service satisfaction and areas for improvement. 

Invitations to participate in phase two of the survey were emailed directly to participants on April 15, 2024, with the survey closing on April 26, 2024. Participants are faculty and staff who, based on their roles, use a wide range of university services. They are chosen based on NousCubane’s methodology, which is standardized across all universities participating in benchmarking. 

Updates on benchmarking activities, including results from both survey parts and activity data collections, will be shared with the university community in fall 2024. These insights will inform the Queen’s Renew Program, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of professional services to support the university's academic mission.
