Nominations for the 2024 Special Recognition for Staff Awards are now open. These awards recognize staff who consistently provide outstanding contributions, both directly or indirectly, to the learning and working environment at ����ֱ��, at a level significantly beyond what is usually expected. Anyone–including students, staff, faculty, and alumni–can submit nominations.

“The Special Recognition for Staff Awards is a chance for us to shine a spotlight on those individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their roles,” says Lisa Walsh, Associate Vice-Principal, Human Resources. “To recognize our outstanding staff and ensure we continue to provide opportunities for recognition, we have expanded the total number of awards granted to ten, previously eight, including up to two teams. We encourage everyone in the ����ֱ�� community to join us in celebrating excellence by nominating those staff members who make meaningful and significant contributions to our learning and working environment.” 

Nominations close on Dec. 20, 2024. All forms and instructions are available on the . Those without access can email avphr@queensu.ca to request copies. 

The awards serve as an important act of appreciation for the significant contributions staff make to supporting the university's academic mission and culture.
