New this year, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre (AEAC) is offering a March Break camp called ARTmania. At the weeklong camp (March 14-18), budding artists aged 8-12 can explore their creative side further with artist Phoebe Cohoe, who also led the Summer SmARTs camps, through projects that focus on telling stories through pictures, using flip-books and other low-tech animation devices.
“I’m pleased to offer this new art day camp during March Break, which follows from the success of our Summer SmARTs camps,” says Pat Sullivan, Public Programs Manager for the AEAC. “Our camps are unique because we develop the program in relation to the original art seen in our exhibitions and they are led by highly-qualified teaching artists. I think this offers children, who like art, a great opportunity to expand their imaginations and their skills.”
The camp was initiated with the support of the Rita Friendly Kaufman Fund.
