After nearly two decades at its location downtown at 115 Barrack St., Queen’s Postal Services is moving back to campus. The move, scheduled for Dec. 18, will not result in any disruption of service or changes to sending or receiving mail.

ֱ Postal Services will now operate out of Fleming Hall, Jemmett Wing.

Taking up residence in Fleming Hall, Jemmett Wing, Postal Services will now be closer to the people it works with on a daily basis.

“We’re thrilled to be back in the centre of the campus community,” says Donald Dean, Manager, Postal Services. “We’ll be easy to find, easy to use and we’ll be able to offer better postal access for students, staff and faculty.”

The new location will reduce driving times, distances and emissions for postal vehicles, resulting in less campus traffic and faster postal service. Despite the prevalence of email in modern communication, Postal Services continues to be a vital presence on campus. Each year it delivers more than 100,000 exams, 100,000 pay stubs and 15,000 T4s, and on a daily basis the service processes upwards of 3,000 items. 

Changing the location of Postal Services will not result in any changes to the Queen’s postal code or delivery procedure. Postal Services has contacted Canada Post and frequent campus couriers like FedEx and UPS to inform them of the change.
