After years of study, another group of students formally received their degrees at fall convocation.
This year’s ceremonies were particularly special in that they were the first presided over by Chancellor Jim Leech. He was installed as the university's 14th Chancellor at the first convocation ceremony on the morning of Nov. 18.
Three special guests received honorary degrees during the ceremonies: Shaf Keshavjee, a thoracic surgeon and director of the Toronto Lung Transplant Program; Ronald Lee, a journalist, author, teacher and rights activist for Romani in Canada; and Yash Pal Ghai, a professor and advisor on human rights and constitutional matters.
All five ceremonies were held in Grant Hall.
