Visitors to Kingston have a new premium accommodation option in the heart of Queen’s campus this summer.

David C. Smith House is being converted into a hotel this summer. Each room has a double bed, flat screen television and mini-fridge.

Queen’s Housing and Ancillary Services is completely converting David C. Smith House, which opened last fall, into a hotel operation from April 30-Aug. 27. Housing and Ancillary Services has been operating the residence buildings as summer accommodations for the past 30 years, but the new David C. Smith house is a truly upgraded product.

“We are excited to offer these comfortable, spacious units at competitive rates,” says Nicole Braatz, Manager, Sales and Marketing, Queen’s Housing and Hospitality Services. “And with Smith House within walking distance of downtown, many local attractions and Kingston’s waterfront, we believe these accommodations will be an attractive option for travellers.”

Tour Smith House
Housing and Ancillary Services invites members of the Queen’s community to tour the accommodations offered at Smith House. The open house will take place on May 4 from 11 am-2 pm.

Visitors can rent a two-bedroom, air-conditioned unit that includes a private washroom. Each bedroom has one extra-long double bed, flat screen television and mini-fridge. Complimentary WiFi is included in the package.

Smith House also offers two common rooms on each floor that can be used for group gatherings.
