Men's Rugby

With a first place ranking to end the OUA regular season, the Gaels men’s rugby team earned a bye and the right to host the semifinal on Saturday at 1 pm on Nixon Field. ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ opponents are the McMaster Marauders, who beat Western 21-20 in Wednesday's quarterfinal. Last weekend ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ finished off their regular season with a win 69-5 over Waterloo. The Gaels pressed the Warriors early in the game with a first try from Kainoa Lloyd. ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ kept the momentum moving, as Lloyd finished the first half with four tries, and Adam McQueen added a pair of tries and seven conversions by the end of the game. With the win, the Gaels ended the regular season in first place with a 7-1 record. Earlier this fall, the Gaels suffered their first loss in over two years 18-13 to the Marauders late in the second half. McMaster had a strong start to their season but ended with a 5-3 record after a three-game losing streak to end the season. Saturday's game will be broadcast on OUA.tv.

Women's Hockey

This weekend the No. 3 Gaels women’s hockey team heads to North Bay to play Nipissing on Saturday at 3 pm and Sudbury on Sunday to play Laurentian 1 pm. Last weekend the Gaels increased their winning streak to start the season to five games, beating the Varsity Blues 2-1 and Ryerson 4-0.

Men's Hockey

The men's hockey squad heads to Quebec to play No. 5 UQTR on Friday at 7 pm and Concordia on Saturday at 5 pm. Last weekend the Gaels beat the Guelph Gryphons 3-2 in the new three-on-three second overtime, with the game-winning goal coming from rookie Eric Ming. ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ was back in action on Saturday against the Mustangs but fell 3-1, suffering their second loss of the season.

Women's Volleyball

The Gaels women’s volleyball team heads to Toronto to take on Ryerson on Friday at 6 pm and Toronto Saturday at 6 pm. Last weekend ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ had a strong start to their season, winning both home opener games against Windsor 3-0 and Western 3-2. In both games strong serving helped the Gaels overtake their opponents. The Gaels are early in their first season under new head coach Michael Ling, and look like they're headed in the right direction.

Men's Volleyball

The Gaels men’s volleyball team is on the road facing Ryerson on Friday at 8 pm and Toronto Saturday at 8 pm. Last weekend ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ had a tough start to their season losing both games against Windsor 2-3 and Western 0-3.

Rowing

The Gaels rowing team is in Victoria, B.C. to compete in the Canadian University Rowing Championship on Saturday. Last weekend the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ men's and women's rowing teams both found places on the podium at the OUA Championship hosted by Brock. The women took second overall, while the men finished third to qualify for Nationals.

Women's Lacrosse

The Gaels women’s lacrosse team is competing in the OUA Championship hosted by UOIT in Oshawa from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ finished off their season in third place with 5-6-1 record.

Women's Basketball

On Saturday at 6 pm the No. 9 Gaels women’s basketball team hosts the Ottawa Gee-Gees in their final exhibition game before the upcoming season.
 
Men's Basketball

In preparation for their upcoming season, this weekend the Gaels men’s basketball team heads to New York to play exhibition games at Hobart College on Saturday at 3 pm and Wells College on Sunday at 3 pm.
