Media Advisory: Queen’s University hosts Science Rendezvous Kingston this Saturday at Slush Puppie Place

This Saturday, May 11 marks the return of Science Rendezvous Kingston, one of Canada’s longest-running and successful science, technology, engineering and mathematics pop-up discovery centres. The hugely popular, and  free event brings together the Kingston Community with local Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math experts (STEM), and Queen’s researchers.
Faculty, staff, and students from Queen’s University, along with community partners will provide visitors with hands-on demonstrations, awe-inspiring exhibits and fun experiments.
This year’s theme is Innovate. 60 booths will feature topics ranging from wildlife conservation to robotics and climate change.

Special Attractions
-10:30am and 1:45pm Queen’s Department of Chemistry performs two Chemistry Magic Shows  
- Noon- The Great Canadian Invention Circus- a live show full of astounding facts and circus acts 
-The Sensory Friendly Science Zone offers a quieter environment away from crowds and loud noises. Admission requires a free ticket per child, which are being distributed at the Slush Puppie Place box office.
