March was accessibility awareness month and the Society of Graduate and Professional Students’ (SGPS) equity committee organized several events aimed at raising awareness of accessibility and equity issues. The last of these March events was “Make-a-Button,” held in Mackintosh-Corry Hall. The event gave students the opportunity to make and wear their own button in support of accessibility and equity.
“Everyone loves to make a button,” said SGPS Equity Commissioner and event organizer Robin Westland. “We think it’s a great way to give people an opportunity to express themselves and to raise the profile of accessibility issues.”
