Conference puts spotlight on health and human rights

Students from across campus gathered last weekend for the , an interdisciplinary, student-run symposium that highlights key issues related to global wellness.
The conference, which took place on Nov. 1 and 2, featured workshops on Canada’s drug shortage problem, chronic pain, refugee health, violence against women, and mental health and wellness, among other topics. It also featured keynote addresses from health policy expert Dr. Michael Rachlis, writer and AIDS activist Stephen Lewis, and local peace activist Judith Wyatt.
