Residence Meal Plan Dining Guide – Halal

Meal Plan Basics

  • 19 meals per week: Provides access to dining halls and retail locations.
  • 200 TAMs for the year: “Trade-in” up to four dining hall meal swipes for TAM swipes per day to build your own combo meal in participating retail locations. TAMs are not additional weekly meals but provide flexibility for you to eat across campus aligned with your busy schedule.
  • 145 Flex $: Functions as cash on your student card. Use Flex $ in campus retail locations to purchase beverages, snack food items, and more.
  • Auto-enrollment into the GOOD TO GO Reusable Container Initiative: You will automatically be opted into the GOOD TO GO reusable container initiative to help eliminate single-use packaging when dining in retail locations across campus, using a Swap-Eat-Repeat process.

Where to Find Halal Options on Campus

  • Halal options can be found at food locations across campus. Visit the Special Diet Options page for examples of items available. Wherever you dine, Ask Before You Eat – share your dietary needs, ask about ingredients and request special meal preparation, as needed.
  • We understand individual comfort level may vary. Our kitchen equipment is shared; however, appropriate safe food handling practices and precautionary measures are taken.
  • Upon request, your meal can be cooked separately, and additional precautionary measures can be taken. Advanced notice is required for such requests in residence dining – please call 30 minutes in advance.
