Jean Royce dining hall

Students say #WESTISBEST when visiting Jean Royce Dining Hall and Barista on the west campus. Our smaller student and staff population helps to create a strong sense of community.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Students with food allergies and other complex dietary needs are encouraged to speak to a chef for customized meals and/or to request your meal be prepared using a true balance recipe if required. If you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, you may also use the self-serve Gluten-Free Friendly Pantry at this location.

When dining on the main campus, avoid eating in retail food locations. Instead, visit Ban Righ and Leonard dining halls. These locations also have a true balance station and a self-service Gluten-Free Friendly Pantry.

In a hurry? Pick up a warm EXPRESS to-go meal from a cashier for a meal swipe. Check the Today's Menu page in advance to see what our chefs have prepared, then let the cashier know which meal you would like. Our staff will bring you a fresh warm entree to go.

Plan Ahead

Planning safe food choices is important for those with allergies, celiac disease, or other food-related health conditions where cross contamination is of concern. These tips will help you dine with ease:

  • Look for wellness icons on menus identifying common dietary needs or preferences (ie. vegan, halal, etc).
  • Before arriving at the dining hall preview today’s menus to assess your options.
  • If you have any questions or require a modification to a dish in the dining hall, call ahead and speak with a chef.

Things work a little differently at Jean Royce Dining Hall.

Monday-Friday breakfast and dinner are All-You-Care-To-Eat. However, during lunch, it is not. Instead, for a meal swipe you will receive a full TAM-style meal including a beverage just like you would at a retail food location on main campus.   &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

The Barista is the perfect spot for those late-night food cravings when the dining hall is closed, and you need a drink or snack.
