Alicia Boutilier is Chief Curator/Curator of Canadian Historical Art at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. She has produced numerous exhibitions, for art museums across Canada, on Canadian historical art and visual culture, with emphasis on women artists, artistic groups, regional scenes, collecting histories and intersections of art and craft. Among her noteworthy curated and co-curated exhibition and publication projects are Tom Thomson: Is It or Isn’t It? (Agnes Etherington Art Centre and Art Gallery of Hamilton, forthcoming 2021); Stepping Out: Clothes for a Gallery Goer (Agnes Etherington Art Centre, forthcoming 2019); Road Trip: Across Canada with Alan C. Collier (Agnes Etherington Art Centre, 2017); Art Scenes Kingston: 1840s/1940s/1970s (Agnes Etherington Art Centre, 2016); The Artist Herself: Self-Portraits by Canadian Historical Women Artists (Agnes Etherington Art Centre and Art Gallery of Hamilton, 2015, national touring exhibition); A Vital Force: The Canadian Group of Painters (Agnes, 2013, national touring exhibition), for which she received a peer-awarded OAAG Curatorial Writing Award for Major Essay; William Brymner: Artist, Teacher, Colleague (Agnes, 2010, national touring exhibition); Inspirational: The Collection of H. S. Southam (Art Gallery of Hamilton, 2009); Public Pictures/Private Homes: London’s Lending Library of Canadian Art (Museum London, 2007); An Intimate Circle: The F. B.
