New Faculty Appointments
All members of the appointments committee are required to complete in-person Appointments/RTPC training (Article 24.2.1) prior to serving on the committee. In addition, the EE Rep chosen for the committee must also complete the Employment Equity Representatives training (Article 24.2.2) for faculty members. Employment equity training for staff hiring processes is not sufficient for faculty appointments committees.
After attending both faculty training sessions, the EE Rep can gain access to QEAP and begin the appointments process by reviewing their Unit Profile to determine which designated groups are the most under-represented. This information will influence the unitās recruitment strategy.
