As Associate Director, Dr. Yasmine Djerbal oversees a (brilliant) team of educational developers to promote equity focused, research-informed and evidence-based strategies in teaching and learning. She contributes her expertise to the development, planning, and implementation of Faculty and University wide strategic policies and procedures in teaching and learning.
Before moving into this role, Yasmine worked as an Educational Developer in Anti-Racist Pedagogies and Inclusion at the Centre for Teaching and Learning. She holds an MA in Gender Studies and a PhD in Cultural Studies from Queen’s University. She remains involved in research and teaching, where her interests lie in critical race studies, immigration, citizenship law, gender, and Islamophobia. Yasmine is also a community organizer in Katarowki/Kingston committed to social justice and social change.
