The creative industries represent an evolving and rapidly growing sector of the global economy. They address complex cultural and social needs, represent a diverse range of human experiences, and help define our contemporary world. Graduates of Art History at Queen’s are leaders in a diverse range of fields in the creative and information industries today. Our graduates occupy leading positions in curatorial departments and cultural heritage centres in Canada and abroad, in Universities and research centres, in granting agencies and cultural policy centres, in auction houses in North America and Europe, in private galleries, journalism, design, law and other fields. Queen’s alumni are behind many of the exhibitions you see, they are the authors of books and articles you read, they shape policies in art and culture, and teach in universities around the world.
