The Queen’s University community extends beyond students to other constituents who use and interact with Queen’s in both physical and virtual ways. Queen’s runs camps for children, hosts a wide range of cultural and artistic opportunities for the wider community, provides space to external bodies for their own purposes, and offers athletic services to the Kingston community, amongst other activities.
Often these activities require the collection of personal information because such information is necessary in order to run the programs. For example, Queen’s cannot provide camps for children without collecting information about the child’s parents or guardians, the child’s dietary requirements and health status, and so forth. Where the collection of such information is necessary, notice will be provided at the appropriate point of collection. Where collection of personal information, or the use of personal information is not necessary for an activity, you will be asked to give your consent for the collection or use.
