Clubs Commission

The Clubs Commissioner oversees the 270+ ratified clubs on campus and is responsible for managing the daily operations as well as long-term planning for the Commission. They act as main liaison for the clubs community to the AMS and the SGPS. The Clubs Commissioner can be contacted at clubs.manager@ams.queensu.ca

Campus Affairs Commission

The Campus Affairs Commission is responsible for AMS event sanctioning that ensures activities strive to enhance student life and account for all risk. All club activities outside of regular meetings require AMS approvals. You can receive support in getting your club event approved by contacting the Campus Affairs Commissioner at cac@ams.queensu.ca

Social Issues Commission

The Social Issues Commissioners (SIC) exists to to facilitate dialogue, education, and engagement on all matters related to equity, identity, and anti-oppression. If you lead a club that advocates for I-EDIAA, or, as a club leader want to learn more about incorporating these principles, then the Social Issues Commission can provide support. Environmental Sustainability Commission

The Commission of Environmental Sustainability (CES) offers many opportunities for sustainable advocacy and engagement within the Queen’s community. Initiatives such as the Sustainable Action Fund (SAF), the Sustainable Event Certificate (SEC) and the Collective Closet encourage student participation in sustainable initiatives. STUDENT EXPERIENCE OFFICE

The Student Development Coordinator works to provide support for student growth and learning across campus. This includes training and development for student leaders across Student Affairs, Clubs, Faculty Societies and ORT. If you're looking to consult on plans for your club, or to host a workshop for your team, the Student Development Coordinator can be contacted at student.experience@queensu.ca.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND EQUITY OFFICE

The HREO aims to support all unique identities as they navigate the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ campus.  The Special Projects Officer in the HREO can offer support to individuals or student clubs and groups through consultation and collaboration to assist in the exploration of equity, diversity and inclusivity. If you are involved in a club that advocates for diversity and inclusion and are looking for support, you can contact the Special Projects Officer at equity@queensu.ca.

SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND PREVENTION RESPONSE OFFICE

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Service is part of the Human Rights and Equity Office, an independent department on campus. SVPRS is the central point of contact on campus for students impacted by sexual violence and for prevention initiatives. We offer non-emergency support by helping you understand your options, assessing possible next steps and connecting you to services you wish to access. STUDENT CONDUCT OFFICE

We proactively engage students by helping them reflect on their conduct, and providing them with resources and opportunities that will support them in being positive members of the Queen’s and Kingston communities. When cases are received from the Non-Academic Misconduct Intake Office (NAMIO), a Case Manager is assigned. The Case Manager will meet with the students involved to gather information about the incident and ensure sanctions are completed. EXPERIENTAL LEARNING HUB

The Experiential Learning Hub is made up of a dedicated team of professionals committed to promoting and coordinating experiential education across the Queen’s community.
