Bryan McGann
Manager
Bryan has a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation and a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. His experience includes more than a decade in insurance and risk mitigation, with expertise in legislation, policy wording interpretation, and claims experience.
Bryan’s prior work experience includes coaching staff, developing and delivering training programs, writing policies and audit plans, and conducting seminars with senior managers. As a Queen’s University alum, he is keen on translating his experience to cultivate a risk awareness culture at his alma mater.
Roles and Responsibilities

Works closely with the Executive Director, Risk and Safety Services on overall strategic direction of risk management, promoting a strong risk awareness culture in keeping with the observed risks and claims experience at both the university and among Canadian universities typically.

Responsible for the University’s insurance program, for the negotiation and purchase of insurance policies, providing property and casualty advice on matters relating to the insurance program, providing direction, coaching, training and counselling, tracking important changes on property holdings and inventories for valuation purposes and for identifying and recommending program improvements.
