MA students Ben Dinsdale and Spencer Gravelle have each won the 2020-21 A.R.C. Duncan Award for Excellence in Teaching, established in honour of a former head of the Department and one of the country’s most distinguished teachers of philosophy.

PhD student Arjun Sawhney has won the 2020-21 Professor Frank Pearce Essay Prize, awarded annually to a graduate student from Sociology, Political Studies, Geography, Philosophy or Cultural Studies with the best essay on the topic of radical critical theory and social justice.
