The tentative collective agreement between Queen’s University and the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) Local 67 is now in effect following a successful ratification vote by bargaining unit members held on June 12, 2019.

The Human Resources Committee of the Queen’s Board of Trustees voted to ratify the agreement on June 21, 2019.
An important consequence of successful ratification is that ONA Local 67 will consent, on behalf of their eligible members, to the conversion of the Queen’s Pension Plan (QPP) to the proposed jointly sponsored University Pension Plan (UPP). The terms of the pension consent agreement will form part of the parties’ collective agreement.
The university and ONA Local 67 also agreed to renew their collective agreement. The renewed collective agreement will succeed the current agreement, effective retroactively to April 1, 2018.

The new three-year agreements will expire on March 31, 2021.
