Queen’s University and the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) Local 67, representing nurses at the Queen’s Family Health Team ratified their tentative agreement late last week.
The new one-year agreement will expire on March 31, 2018.
Highlights include:
- An increase of 1.25 per cent, effective April 1, 2017
- An increase to the student supervisory premium
Negotiations between Queen’s and ONA Local 67 began on October 23, 2017. Bargaining took place over one full-day session. There was also one full-day bargaining session conducted with the assistance of a provincially appointed conciliator.
The university values the contributions of its many employees and is pleased the parties were able to reach a ratified agreement through the collective bargaining process.
