Kaileigh La Belle

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥

Kaileigh La Belle is a first-year M.A. student in the History Department at Queen’s University. Her primary research interests include the history of sexuality, particularly the histories of queer identities, kink, and sex work; she is also interested in queer theory and the relationship between queer youth and pop cultural production.

Under the supervision of Dr. Steven Maynard, her proposed research project will examine the development of queer youth identities throughout the Weimar Republic. Using age, nationality, gender, and sexuality as categories of analysis, her project aims to highlight how these politically and culturally significant identities emerged both in relation to and independently from adult-authored discourses and adult-oriented institutions.
