I was born and raised in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and am currently the Director of the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre at Queen’s. I’m enrolled in the MA: History program part time. My supervisors are Dr. Lisa Pasolli and Dr. Scott Berthelette. My thesis project will use oral interviews and histories to demonstrate that Kanyen’keha:ka (Mohawk) ironworkers continue Kanyen’keha:ka worldview and sovereignty. Specifically, I will interview and record the history of my family’s, and other Kenhteke (Tyendinaga) ironworkers, participation in the trade.
