MA GNDS 2016
"My time in the MA program in Gender Studies at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ was fantastic. The unwavering support of my adviser, Scott Morgensen, along with other faculty like Trish Salah, Katherine McKittrick, and Beverley Mullings with whom I had the privilege of working in various capacities, enabled me to grow not only as a scholar, but as a person. Having the opportunity to teach bright and passionate students, especially during a time where some conservative activists took aim at Gender Studies and allied departments, taught me the value and political importance of a feminist education that I had often taken for granted. Gender Studies at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ was a safe haven, and a reprieve, not only for those students seeking an environment where they could name the injustices they witnessed without being told to pipe down, but also for myself."
