University and CUPE locals reach tentative deals

Queen’s University is pleased to advise that it, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and CUPE Local 229 (Tradespeople / Maintenance Workers and Caretakers / Custodians), Local 1302 (Library Technicians), and Local 254 (Lab Technicians) have reached tentative deals to renew their Collective Agreements, after extensive negotiations over the weekend.
The agreements are tentative and still subject to successful ratification by all the parties involved. Full details of the agreements will remain confidential pending their ratifications.
The university is also pleased to note that Aramark, which provides food services on campus and was concurrently in negotiations with CUPE 229, also reached deals to renew their Collective Agreements.
