Outdoor Classroom Brainstorm

The students of Outdoor and Experiential Education and the Associate Vice-Provost (Teaching & Learning) would like to invite all interested faculty, students, staff to participate in an Outdoor Classroom Brainstorm* session to conceptualize an outdoor classroom for Queen’s University.
Imagine an outdoor classroom that integrates two-eyed seeing concepts welcoming all students; with polished stone floors for geology students; a green roof with PV panels for engineering students to study the input and output of energy; a walkway with poetry that is displayed after it rains; easy access to nature-based activities to further student learning. Help us imagine such possibilities as part of Queen’s efforts to ensure experiential and environmentally based learning for university students.
Join us for the Outdoor Classroom Brainstorm session and you will have the opportunity to have your voice heard and to influence the design process.
