Vice-Principal Research Portfolio - Research Services invites the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ research community to an NSERC Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) Panel Discussion and Q&A Session.
Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) grants foster and enhance the discovery, innovation and training capability of university researchers in the natural sciences and engineering by supporting the purchase of research equipment.
This session is for any Queen’s Researcher who is applying for an RTI grant or who is interested in learning more about the program requirements. Participants will receive information regarding how to best structure their application to secure funding.

A Queen’s Researcher is eligible to apply for this award if they did not receive a RTI grant in last year’s competition AND hold at least one of the following NSERC research grants (either as an applicant or co-applicant):
- Alliance grant
- Canada Excellence Research Chairs
- Canada 150 Research Chairs
- Canada Research Chairs
- Collaborative Research and Development grant
- Discovery Development grant
- Discovery Grant
- Discovery Horizons grant
- Industrial Research Chairs grant
- Strategic Partnership grant
This session will involve:
- A brief overview of the RTI program
- Previous RTI awardees and review panel members answering moderator questions
- An audience-led Q&A session
