    Kanata College responds to Canada’s challenges issued in the 2008 Apology and the TRC’s “Call To Action” by
    creating a project that:
    • Improves the potential for People of Indigenous Ancestry to improve wellbeing through healing and wellness
    practices using Indigenous Knowledge (IK) in corrections and justice;
    • Creates partnerships and network linkages that inventories existing research and new healing practices that
    focus on local problems identified by communities related to their geographic and social environments;
    • Produces a prototype model that helps local practitioners recover Indigenous persons involved with
    correctional services;
    • Produces a prototype model that can be used by Indigenous people continent-wide.

    The presentation titled “Kanata College” itemizes the long road to build consensus among diverse interests.

    All are welcome
