    Presented by: Sarah Moran, MB BCh BAO MRCPI, Clinician Scientist, Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, Queen’s University

    At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

    1. Identify nephrological indications for SGLT2i
    2. Describe what to expect post-SGLT2i initiation – effect on GFR, proteinuria
    3. Differentiate Co-prescription with SGLT2i – what to stop, what to continue

    Presented by: Karen Yeates, MD, FRCPC, Associate Professor, Division of Nephrology, Co-Director of the Queen’s University School of Medicine Office of Global Health, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥

    At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

    1. Examine the key drivers of the burden of chronic kidney disease among Canada's Indigenous Peoples
    2. Recognize the impact of complex intergenerational traumas on health and access to health services for Indigenous Peoples
    3. Identify the concepts of cultural safety and cultural security and review culturally safe principles that can be applied in our health care practices
