Queen's Men, Canada's Men

Kathryn M. Bindon (MA'73, PhD'79) wrote ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Men, Canada's Men, which covers the military history of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ from the 19th century until the 1960s. It begins with an account of early militia units at the university, some of them raised in the 1860s to counter Fenian raids across the border.

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Men describes the university's contributions to the Boer War and to both World Wars and tracks the history of the Canadian Officers' Training Corps (COTC) at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ until the 1960s. It pays special attention to the military units in the two World Wars in which ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ students and alumni were prominent.

The book was published in 1978 by the Trustees of the COTC, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Contingent.
