A ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ graduate, Jemmett was a sportsman and a teacher, a soldier and a scholar.
He was a professor of electrical engineering at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ from 1920-1960 and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering from 1924-1960.
A wing of Fleming Hall is named in his honour.
