The street, which extends from Union Street to just south of Princess Street and parallel to Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, runs along a site that was once intended to be ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ campus.
The university bought 50 acres of land in the area in 1840 but could not afford to build on it. It was sold off, piece by piece, between the 1840s and 1878.
